Almi Group acquires Italdroghe Srl

Almi Group acquires Italdroghe Srl, strengthening its position in the European market.

OFTERING, May 2021.

The Almi Group has grown by another company. With the company Italdroghe Srl, a strong partner on the Italian market has been acquired and will be part of the Almi family as of May 2021. After Bioscienece Food Solutions GmbH, Rüther Gewürze GmbH, Natural Power GmbH and Innov8 GmbH, Italdroghe Srl is already the fifth subsidiary of the group.

Italdroghe Srl, based in San Martino di Lupari Italy, has been successfully represented on the Italian market since 1920. With a product range of around 700 products in different packaging variations, Italdroghe Srl is a convincing supplier to more than 600 customers throughout Italy, with the majority of products sold in food retail outlets. The success story of Italdroghe Srl is based on the passion of the Smania family, which has been running the company for four generations. Now the traditional Italian company has been handed over to the Almi family.

In the future, the new family member will also be responsible for the distribution of Almi products in Italy. In particular, the existing warehouse and logistics can be used for distribution throughout Italy.

Strategic growth is the hallmark of the Almi Group, which is why the global network of partners and subsidiaries is constantly being expanded to open up new markets and customer segments. With the help of the newly acquired subsidiary, the Almi Group is not only expanding its product portfolio, but is also adding an additional production site. In this way, the position in the international food industry can be strengthened in the long term and the constantly increasing demands of the industry can be met even better.

Alexander Mittermayr, owner and managing director of the Almi Group, looks forward to the future: "We are pleased to expand our group of companies with another family business. The acquisition of Italdroghe Srl was a significant strategic step for the Almi Group to position itself even more strongly in international competition."
